WHY PILATES?
In a sentence, pilates is a movement method which builds strength and flexibility as you stabilize against movement with your core.
But it is so much more than that. Since my introduction to pilates at age 15, I have experienced the power this method holds. I have used pilates to rehab from injuries, prepare for and recover from pregnancies, cross train for dancing, skiing and running, and maintain a healthy and strong body, mind and spirit along the way.
As I age, pilates will be there to help me maintain muscle, flexibility and bone density. Core strength aids with balance and spinal health. And thoughtful exercise will keep my brain sharp.
