WHY PILATES?
In a sentence, pilates is a movement method which activates your mind/body connection to build strength, flexibility, body control and awareness.
But it is so much more than that. Since my introduction to pilates at age 15, I have experienced the power this method holds. I have used pilates to rehab from injuries, prepare for and recover from pregnancies, cross train for dancing, skiing and running, and maintain a healthy and strong body, mind and spirit along the way.
As I age, pilates will be there to help me maintain muscle, flexibility and bone density. Core strength aids with balance and spinal health. And thoughtful exercise will keep my brain sharp.
